DOOR ACCESS CONTROLLER ISSUES
Testing the relay output on an access controller board.
Common Problem: EM Lock Not Functioning
The Cause: In many cases, the IC (Integrated Circuit) Relay on the board has burnt out. In Penang's humid climate, these components work 24/7 and eventually fail, leaving the EM Lock stuck or unable to "mag-up."
The Fix: Check the relay output with a multimeter. If the board isn't sending power, the IC relay needs a professional replacement or a board swap.
π Security Tip: If your door won't lock, check your backup battery first. A weak battery often causes "chattering" sounds in the EM lock.
